Fox's new prime time show, The Moment of Truth, panders to audiences with shock value exploits

The show debuts Jan. 23rd and the premise of the show is contestants making cash for answering prying questions while strapped to a lie detector.

I very much object to the nature of the questions they ask and just the whole premise of the show in general.  The show's host asks such offensive questions as:

"Do you really care about starving children in Africa?"(end quote)

The contestants then advance to make more money if the lie detector registers a truthful response.

Personally, the show makes me think that television producers and audiences have lost all standards.

And the fact that contestants give up deeply personal information for cash prizes tells me that we as a people have sunk to the lowest levels of a culture in the 21st century.

Enjoy the show!

P.S. Rebecca says, "It's the closest you can get to selling your soul."
