Tonight (Dec. 10th) marks the night of Zeppelin's tribute concert in London to Ahmet Ertegun, the deceased co-founder of Atlantic Records. The band hasn't toured since 1980, the year their drummer, John Bonham, died. Jason Bonham, John's son, has been called on to fill in the rhythmic spaces.
Rumors are flying around that a Zeppelin tour is in store, but no official word has come from the band. This is what lead singer Robert Plant had to say about the matter a month or so before the tribute show: "We need to do one last great show because we've done some shows and they've been crap."
Without a doubt, movers and shakers in the music business are making offers to the band for an all-out tour. There's definitely a demand for their live shows, as they are living legends of the classic rock era.
So, will they go on tour in the future? I think it's still too early to tell. There is a chance that they might though, and if they do, I hope they do it on their own terms. Keep your eyes and your ears open my friends.
Until then, here's some footage of the band in their hey-day>>>>>>
