Somewhere in the folds of the known universe...
It felt like a dream
But I'm sure it was real like flesh and bone
I came to my senses in a dimlit, foggy ally
From behind a dumpster an ominous figure came into sight
It was breathing rather heavily as it approached me
Inside I had the impulse to flee, but my legs locked
The figure towered over me and spoke thus:
You can find less than a gallon of water in a cubic mile of fog...
If the population of the Earth continues to increase at its present rate indefinitely, by 3530 A.D. the total mass of human flesh and blood will equal the mass of the Earth...
By 6826 A.D. it will equal the mass of the known universe...
The figure put his hand on my shoulder and I shuddered in my stance
I closed my eyes
My reality crumbled beneath my eyelids
In the distance I heard a faint beeping sound
(alarm clock blares)
Mom: "Wake up, honey. It's time to go to school."
"Morning mother. Thank you for waking me. I had the most terrible nightmare."
Mom: "Well, everything's okay now. Come and have yourself some flap jacks."
