Gayton to Dan -- Good morning, do you want to stop by the office? -- 10-4 -- as I sit here froze to the screen with initiative to complete 2 pg. paper 1 in. margins all around -- we are (binded) bound by time -- in its grasp one must think fast before this moment will pass -- wish I was more eloquent with the words that were given to me -- but I was glued to the tube and pop culture filled in the spaces of my learning memory -- f'ing pop culture can die to death for all I care -- and then my digital watch beeps to tell me it is 9 a.m. on the dot -- Mike should be here soon -- he is scheduled to work -- but that's besides the point -- what if your life was a circle? -- would there be a point? -- (TASMAN, wut up?) -- life is a highway, anyone, anyone, anyone -- these cultural references are meaningless -- bad culture is bad culture, but people eat it up like candy pieces -- if the song wasn't meaningful then why would you sing along? -- b/c it was so damn catchy -- the message was ill-conceived, the melody was heroin -- the melody was addictive -- the melody was howling to your primal ear -- the melody was conning you -- the melody was a scam that you blindly went along with -- the melody was a virus -- the melody was a combination of familiar sounds and was posing as something completely original -- the melody was mud -- the melody was dirt -- the melody was a plain, white t-shirt -- the melody was commercialized -- the melody was manufactured in a music machine -- the melody was meaningless -- the melody was stolen -- the melody was swollen and sick -- the melody was death -- the melody was mimicking other melodies -- the melody was trite -- the melody was hackneyed -- the melody sang to your deepest -- or so you thought it did, until one day you were in the fast-food line waiting for your "food" and it never came........
